afinitizando tareas a CPUs l\u00f3gicas<\/a>\u00a0poniendo de manifiesto t\u00e9cnicas para mejorar el threading en sistemas Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p>En este me centrar\u00e9 en la Virtualizaci\u00f3n y como puede beneficiarse de manera importante asignando de forma permanente y definida recursos de CPU\u00a0 a las VM.<\/p>\n<p>Mediante el Administrador de Tareas podemos modificar el comportamiento de un componente crucial de Windows: El Scheduler de Windows 10.<\/p>\n<h2>Afinidad y Virtualizaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>En un Host Windows 10 puedo asignar 4 cores con SMT (un CCX completo con su L3 de 8 MB y 8 threads) a una VM Ubuntu 18.04 LTS en VirtualBox con excelentes resultados en velocidad y sin mermas de prestaciones en el Host Windows 10.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pondr\u00e9 un ejemplo pr\u00e1ctico con VirtualBox y un Guest Ubuntu 18.04 LTS en un Host Windows 10 Pro 1809 x64.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Primero, como base vamos a ver el comportamiento nominal de VirtualBox en Windows 10 Pro.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>VirtualBox por defecto en Windows 10<\/h2>\n<p>Creamos una VM con 8 cores, 4 GB RAM y dem\u00e1s ajustes:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_597\" 10.<\/p>\n<p>Con <strong>htop<\/strong> vemos las 8 CPUs l\u00f3gicas que he asignado a la VM Ubuntu 18.04 LTS en VirtualBox.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_595\" l\u00f3gicas disponibles (16), de hecho esta asignaci\u00f3n es din\u00e1mica y va variando en el tiempo.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_601\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-601\" All\u00ed buscamos <strong>VBoxSVC.exe<\/strong>, click derecho y seleccionamos\u00a0 Establecer Afinidad:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_596\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-596\" style=\"width: 727px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-596\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.informaticapremium.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/afinitizar_01.jpg?resize=727%2C435&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Afinitizando VBoxSVC.exe al segundo CCX.\" width=\"727\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.informaticapremium.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/afinitizar_01.jpg?w=727&amp;ssl=1 727w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.informaticapremium.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/afinitizar_01.jpg?resize=300%2C180&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-596\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Afinitizando VBoxSVC.exe al segundo CCX.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>En mi caso, asigno 8\u00a0 CPUs, de la CPU 7 a la 15 inclusive a <strong>VBoxSVC.exe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En el sistema de pruebas con una CPU <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informaticapremium.com\/blog\/amd-ryzen-7-8c-16t-4ghz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AMD Ryzen<\/a> 7 1700 de 8 cores f\u00edsicos con 16 CPUs l\u00f3gicas (threads) opto por dedicar un CCX completo a la VM VirtualBox. Es un balance que debe de valorar el usuario en funci\u00f3n de la m\u00e1quina, los sistemas Host y Guest y el software.<\/p>\n<p>En este caso quiz\u00e1s la elecci\u00f3n perfecta y m\u00e1s balanceada ser\u00eda la siguiente:<\/p>\n<p>Asignar\u00eda 4 CPUs l\u00f3gicas, todas ellas del segundo CCX a la VM. En este caso los cores l\u00f3gicos 8, 10, 12 y 14.
